Single-Line Power Distribution schematic
This drawing provides an overview of how the electrical cabinets are supplied from an external power distribution cabinet. Instead of showing every individual conductor, the power distribution is represented using a single-line diagram, making it easy to see the overall structure of the electrical supply.
The external power distribution cabinet contains the circuit breakers that supply the individual electrical cabinets. Each cabinet is represented graphically, allowing the complete power distribution system to be viewed in one drawing.
At each cabinet, the incoming circuit breaker is also shown. This makes it possible to clearly identify the protection provided at the point where the supply enters each cabinet.
The cables connecting the external distribution cabinet to the individual cabinets are also shown. The cable information includes the cable name, using the same cable identification as in the three-pole circuit diagram, allowing the cable to be easily traced between the different drawings.
In addition to the graphical representation of the power distribution, important electrical calculation data is displayed for each supply. This includes the voltage drop, as well as the minimum and maximum short-circuit current at the relevant point in the circuit.


Motor Power Distribution and Control
This single-line drawing shows the power distribution and control of the motors installed in the field. The power distribution cabinet supplies the individual motors and contains the protective and switching devices required to operate them.
Each motor circuit includes a motor protection device that provides protection against both short circuits and overloads. The protection is selected according to the requirements of the individual motor and protects the motor and its supply circuit against these fault conditions.
The drawing also shows the contactors used to switch the motors on and off. The contactors allow the motors to be controlled by the control system while keeping the motor power circuits separate from the control signals.
For each motor, the single-line representation provides a clear overview of the main power, protection, and switching components without showing every individual conductor.
