Electrical Cabinet lamp and socket example
This example shows a typical AC auxiliary power circuit used to supply a service socket and cabinet lighting.
The incoming AC supply is first connected to a Siemens 5SU1324-7FA06 RCBO, which combines residual-current protection (RCD) and overcurrent protection (MCB) in a 2-pole, 6 A device. This provides protection for the complete auxiliary circuit and allows the circuit to be safely disconnected when required.
From the RCBO, the supply is connected to terminals inside the electrical cabinet. The terminals provide an organized connection point for the cabinet socket and make the incoming supply easier to distribute and maintain.
The terminals then supply a Rittal 2500710 cabinet socket. The socket provides a convenient AC outlet for service and maintenance equipment inside the cabinet.
The Rittal 2500300 LED cabinet lamp is connected to the supply from the same socket circuit. This allows the cabinet lighting to use the same protected AC supply while keeping the wiring simple and organized.
